Review by hotel critic
During a recent trip, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel La Prairie, perfectly situated near the breathtaking Gorge de Bourne, which made for an astonishing drive as we arrived. The warm hospitality of the owner left a lasting impression, as he eagerly shared his extensive knowledge about the local history and sites, enriching our experience in this quaint region. The accommodations were pleasantly traditional, complete with comfortable bedding and impeccably clean facilities; the room equipped with a flat-screen TV and all necessary amenities was a welcome retreat after a day of exploration. Our children had a fantastic time engaging in complimentary billiards and table tennis, allowing my companions and I to unwind at the bar, enjoying an idyllic evening underscored by remarkable views from the sun terrace. The ample parking and seasonal swimming pool added to the hotel’s value, while the delicious buffet breakfast fuelled our active days. In short, Hotel La Prairie offers not only superb comfort and charm but also a gateway to the historical wonders of the surrounding area, making it an excellent choice for any traveler—especially those eager to explore central Europe’s rich past.
